What is WKF? WKF is World Karate Federation which is exist
to rule all the Karate branch in the world! WKF job is to maintance all the
karate big event, this is just like FIFA in Soccer.The World Karate Federation, or WKF,
was formed in 1990 from former WUKO (World Union of Karate-Do Organizations)
members .There are more than 130 member countries which is include in WKF.
It is the only karate organization recognised by
the International Olympic Committee and has more than ten million
members.The WKF organizes the
Junior and Senior Karate World Championships, which are each held every 2
year. The President of the WKF is Antonio Espinos, and the headquarters are
located in Madrid, Spain.
The
styles recognised by the WKF are Shotokan, Wado-ryu, Goju-ryu and Shito-ryu.(The
Big 5 Karate Branch)
Such as Karate World Championships, also known as the
World Karate Championships. This event is the biggest and highest level event
for Karateka! The competition is held in a different Country every two
years. This event include all country in the world!! So the winner can be
declared as Number 1 Kareteka!
